Description
Summary:Documentation system is an important key of operation of PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia, Sumatra Operations area. Operational activities including maintenance and development tasks require a reliable, structured, and updated documentation system. This requirement is to accommodate varying and large number of facility in wide area of 8,828 km2, 10,260 units of production, gas, steam, and water injection wells, 13,000 km pipelines, 90 units of productin facility, and eventually 425,000 BOEPD. A large number of technical drawings are involved in this situation. One of efforts in improving documentation system is by designing and implementing a new documentation system both software and hardware to store all technical documentation for operational, maintenance, and development tasks. Some tools are utilized including KM diagnostic as part of six phases of KM improvement framework and KM critical elements analysis to determine the root cause of documentation system challenges. In planning phase as part of KM improvement frame, it was identified some alternatives to be considered. The process to select the best alternative is by incorporating pairwise comparison method to determine weighting factor of criteria, and utilizing weighted factor scoring model to calculate and analyze the best alternative. The summary of study is to develop selected alternative E-Quest as better scoring than shared folder alternative for its higher rating of operability, including user friendly and familiarity.
