Data from Automatic Weather Station (AWS) PT. TOTAL E&P Indonesie were used to analyze wind gust, with it’s temporal resolution is per minute. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Some methods were used in this research to identify and analyze wind gust itself, start from wind gust analysis by the weather station data, with the sample of case of study when wind gust happened in Februari 24th, 2011 to see if there was any pattern and analyze with anomaly from others meteorology parameter when wind gust was happening. Then this research will classify and identify cumulonimbus appearances when wind gust was happening in case of study and identify the cold pool that caused by thunderstorm outflow from cumulonimbus clouds. So for the last, AWS data were used to identify when wind gust mostly happened. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> From this research it can be concluded that wind gust phenomenon in Blok Mahakam was caused by thunderstorm outflow from cumulonimbus clouds which accompanied by the cold pool. Cumulonimbus cloud was not in Blok Mahakam when wind gust happened in area of study, but on west of Blok Mahakam. Based of wind gust frequency, wind gust mostly happened in January – April with frequency 35 times and in the morning (04.00 WITA – 09.00 WITA) with it’s frequency is 25 times from 46 total wind gust happened in Blok Mahakam from 2010 – 2012. <br /> text |
