As we know, since the recovery of the Asian economy crisis which hit Indonesia very hard in the year 1997-1998 started, the activity of stock market have been fired up. This is marked by the rapid growth of IHSG from 343, the lowest level in 2001, towards the highest level of 2,830 in year 2008 before it started to fall down again by the end of 2008 which continued downward in the beginning of 2009. <br />

So far, the enthusiasm and mass media appetite towards the Indonesia stock market activity is focused on the trading side and the growth of stock market investment while coverage for the other function of stock market, which is as alternative source of external financing is more often neglected by mass media. |
