Summary: | A well implementation of construction activity could not be separated from the efforts to control time, cost, and quality of the infrastructure as a product of the construction activity itself. Each of the parties involved in construction activities have always wanted to create an infrastructure within a short range of efficient time, effectively low in budget, as well as having good quality according to what has been planned. Achievement of these objectives could be done within the scope of construction project management activities consist of planning, organizing, implementing, and the controlling process of the construction projects. In particular, construction project management activities undertaken during the project implementation is the implementation schedule of planning and construction costs. Furthermore, these two components are controlled over the course of construction activities until the handover of the completed infrastructure from the construction service providers (contractors) to the project owner. A series of processes which is aimed to arrange a cash flow plan of the project could be arranged within the management of construction project. In principle, the preparation of a construction project cash flow is a continuous processes which covers the planning of construction activities starting from the selection of the construction methods, the analysis of works in construction projects concerned, and the activities of scheduling and cost estimating. The selection of construction method is an important phase because it will affect the required time to complete the project as well as the operational cost of the construction project. After requiring the information of shedule and financing plan, the S-curve can be prepared. Upon that, the cash flow of the construction project could also be arranged. This cash flow would become a helpful instrument to describe the cost of the project at any certain interval of time along the construction period. By knowing the flow of expenditure costs and revenue costs of the construction projects, a controlling activity could be done to ensure that the construction activity could go on well and continuously. <br />

Cisomang bridge construction project itself needs a description of the cash flow needed in the project implementation proccess. This becomes an important thing when a project needs to be completed within a very limited time along with a big amount of costs just like what happened in Cisomang Bridge construction project. Meanwhile, the result of cash flow arrangement for Cisomang Bridge construction cost discussed here is particularly attached to the selected construction method of common concrete bridges. The construction of the bridge is planned to be done in a single direction of the bridge in order to minimize the overlapping that might occurs between the work packages so that expenditures can also be more easily controlled. |
