Description
Summary:Anambas region consisting of small islands, has a problem in interisland transportation. Interisland bridge construction is expected to be an alternative solution to the problem of sea transport that is not effective and efficient. In planning interisland bridge construction, information about features and characteristics of seabed is required. The information can be obtained by doing bathymetry survey, tidal observations, and sediment sampling. In this case study, the sounding method that is used is acoustic method by using Dual Frequency Single Beam Echosounder. Therefore, it is possible to acquire two depth data at one point at the same time, tidal observations using tide pole, and sediment sampling using grab sampler. When processing bathymetry data, we have to do transducer draft correction, barcheck correction, and tidal correction in order to obtain a high quality bathymetry data. Futhermore, these bathymetry data are presented in contour line form. The final result of this case study is a map of seabed features whose the depth values refers to vertical reference plane HAT and information about sediment.
