Description
Summary:In this Final Project conducted a comparative study of the method of precast prestressed concrete pavement which is the innovational technologi of new pavement in Indonesia ,and the methods of Rigid Concrete Pavement conventional (RCP) viewed in terms of cost. This final case study is a toll road project Kanci - Pejagan which is part of the construction of the Trans Java Toll Road.

This final process done through several stages, firstly preparation consist of initial information, the literature study, data collection and consolidation methodologies. The next stage is processing data calculations of pavement thickness when using the RCP method. Based of pavement thickness and technical specifications that are known, then the cost of highway construction when using the RCP method and the cost when using the PPCP calculated. Then, the results of both methods cost cosntruction is compared viewed in temr of cost

From the results of the analysis that has been carried out, concluded that the PPCP construction costs is 15% more expensive than RCP construction cost but has advantages and weaknesses that are not avaliable when using the RCP method.
