Loads on the structure shall be transferred to the soil layer so the foundation can bear the loads, example: pile foundation. If the pile foundation used to support a tall building then the pile structure is also expected to withstand the load due to axial and lateral forces from the upper structure. This final project describes the foundation, namely in the form of foundation piles. In this study, the initial design was carried out then the axial bearing capacity of single pile foundation is calculated using a theoretical analysis (API method and the A-Pile), dynamic analysis using the GRL WEAP program. Then determine the lateral bearing capacity theoretically using the L-Pile program. After that, analyze the bearing capacity of the group using the GROUP program and determine the settlement that occurred in the pile group. From the analysis results, compare the bearing capacity derived from the methods which are used and the allowable results to choose the type of pile. Next, design the pile cap according to the type of foundation which is used used. For the axial bearing capacity, the difference in depth produced by three different way of methods are still working within the normal range. There is little difference between the axial bearing capacitiy calculations using the A-Pile software (based on the API method) compared with the theoretical calculation of the API due to the rounding of calculations which done manually. <br /> <br /> <br /> The bearing capacity results of the GRL WEAP program slightly different with the results of the bearing capacity of the static method. This difference occurs because the natural modeling conducted on GRL WEAP program using wave analysis, so that the bearing capacity results of this program is smaller than the program or the static method for larger diameters. From the results which is obtained from the L-Pile program and GROUP, the GROUP program results are representative of the state of the field is still smaller than the L-Pile program except for the smallest diameter. However, due to the limited capabilities of existing products on the pile market, only the largest pole meets the criteria. text |
