Operations Engineering team is one of division in Heavy Oil organization. Its role and responsibility is to manage small scale of project (less than USD 2.5 million) which covering the tactical and short term efforts. Treat, Ship and Waste Facility (TS&WF) team is one of sub division in Operation Engineering. This team is focusing on managing the project execution in all central gathering stations and waste facilities. TS&WF team has approximately 30 small scale projects in associated with safety, compliance and facility optimization, and about two third of the projects is continuing from previous year. Even though those projects are small scale but in reality the execution of projects were identified take longer period for accomplishment. In addition several project costs would also over from initial budget. This condition has caused loss of opportunity in increasing production and return on investment value. The other important late project impact is making the facility in risk of safety issue and out of compliance. For that reason it is necessary to put endeavors for managing the projects in strategic practice in order to achieve the project goals in term of cost, time, quality as well as customer satisfaction from the facility owner. This final project will focus on evaluation of project performance which covering project selection, planning, execution and monitoring in correspond with engineering resource limitationand competency in TS&WF team. Furthermore the assessment will be elaborated from data and fact findings in the field as to make profound analysis for finding the root cause of poor project performance by flow process and practical theory application. Recommendation and suggestion would be expected to help the project achieving its performance and eventually supporting Heavy Oil business operation in overall.
