Summary: | When we do an observation there is a factor that could effect the wind speed greatly, this factor name is surface roughness and the standart heigh reference to do a wind speed observation is 10m. Meteorological instrumentation is needed in this major so that it could improve more. Anemometer that is made by davis could record 16 diferent wind direction but the anemometer that was made by Yuliarto could only record 8 diferent wind direction <br />

The method to get the result for surface roughness need at least 2 anemometers that is placed in 2 different height. The observation was done in 2 meter because on that height we could get the surface wind. And in 10 meter we could get wind speed that is free from surface roughness <br />

Anemometer could function normally in rain or heat. The equation by using the logarithmic function resulted is not recommended for surface wind. Diurnal wind was seen in the flat terrain and terrain with 50-100cm obstacle. Small turbulence is the cause of variation of wind direction in the building obstacle. When there is a comparison with Davis Anemometer there is an overestimation in wind speed at 1.5-3.3m/s |
