Summary:Deaerator is the one of equipments in the installation of The Electrical Power Plant. This equipment is designed to remove the oxygen dissolved in the boiler feed water and as a water storage for the need boiler feed water. Deaerating process is performed by use in part of steam before entering steam turbine. This heating steam is used to increase temperature of the feed water flowing into the deaerator. Two control systems are used in the deaerator, as follows water level control and pressure control. In this research, have already made linear model of deaerator system in Gresik Combined Cycle Power Plant. The model is in the shape of state space with 4 inputs, 2 outputs and 5 state variables. Controller design is performed by use this model and apply LQG methode. By choosing design parameter such as state variable weighting matrix Q and control variable weighting matrix R and assuming system covariance matrix Qd and measurement covariance matrix Rd, hereafter has been obtained gain feeedback optimal Ke and gain Kalman Filter Ke. Simulation result shows that step response under normal condition make water level reach steady condition in 25 second and deaerator pressure reach steady condition in 20 second. Applying random disturbance in the input with 0.05 m3 / sec., filter damps disturbance as much 0.025 m (2.5 cm) for water level and 0.9 Kpa for deaerator pressure.
