The coal mining will be conducted until a stripping ratio of 15:1 and will possibly be followed by an underground mining.<p> <br /> <br /> <br /> This research consisted of site investigation, laboratory analyses, slope stability calculation using Slide 3.0 dan Phase2 5.0 Programs including determination of critical acceleration for the benches, and analysis of roof strata using Coal Mine Roof Rating (CMRR).<p> <br /> <br /> <br /> The research recommends the application of 15 m high and 65O slope of individual bench, whereas geometry and critical acceleration for the highwall will depend on the location of the highwall. In addition, CMRR of roof strata is in the range of 16.3-40.5, which shows that if the rockbolts are used, the spacing should be in the range of 1.0 mm – 1.6 m. text
