Research was done to investigate the influence of potassium on the physical characteristics of the oil palm fruit, yield and quality of CPO. Fruit bunches of oil palm were sprayed with different concentration of K2SO4 (1 % and 2%) and compared with control. The results showed that this treatment has no effect on all the tested parameters. Therefore, it can be concluded that potassium treatment through the spraying of oil palm fruit bunches is not recommended to improve the quality of fruits and their respective CPO content. text |
