Summary: | The demand for land in Indonesia is increasing every time, thus this also happenned in Jakarta as the capital of the country. Based on the latest report by Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta on 2016, the amount of people living in Jakarta has reached 13 million people with the growth rate of 4.2% each year. As a matter of fact, Jakarta has land area of 662 km2 which ideally could only fit 6.5 million people. If the situation continues without any taken act by the government, it is estimated that within 2030, Jakarta will reach the condition of Overpopulated. In the other hand, there opportunities to solve this problem through reclamation, and act to reclaim the land or to make an artificial land to be used for addition land space in Jakarta. There is potential for such prject located at the North Basin of Jakarta. One of the mega projects that has been planned, the G-Island, could give a potential of addition 161 Ha of land with 3 steps of long term construction. In this paper, the project will be discussed through certain approach of modelling of the reclamation to compare the result of models made by the help of PLAXIS. The parameters that are going to be modelled within this project is to find whether the embankment of the G-Island could be constructed, fulfill the safety factor criteria, to find the optimum dimension and the affect of Pre-Fabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) usage within the project, related to the safety factor, duration of consolidation and displacement which happens within the model. |
