Summary:PT Freeport Indonesia currently produces copper ore and gold primarily from the <br /> <br /> Grasberg open-pit mine, Deep Ore Zone (DOZ) mines an the Biggossan mine. As a result, <br /> <br /> PTFI has planned to running expansion from other underground mining sources such as <br /> <br /> the DMLZ mine so that the transition from Grasberg open pit production to lower mine <br /> <br /> production can occur smoothly to maintain PTFI’s profitability and continuity of <br /> <br /> production. To support the successful operation of the DMLZ mine and to maintain <br /> <br /> PTFI’s profitability and continuity of production, the DMLZ underground mine must <br /> <br /> provide the best performance for other underground mining operations. However, <br /> <br /> Underground DMLZ is currently still have many problems with the performance of <br /> <br /> existing primary employees in addition to production permit that have not been issued, <br /> <br /> the main problem is the different work culture of organization and competence that has <br /> <br /> not been maximal, resulting in low production levels and decreased employee <br /> <br /> performance. <br /> <br /> Research on organizational culture and organizational performance has been widely <br /> <br /> practiced, but studies that test whether organizational culture and competence effect to <br /> <br /> employee performance are rare. This research intends to examine the influence of <br /> <br /> organizational culture and competence on work performance of underground mining <br /> <br /> employee DMLZ PT Freeport Indonesia. <br /> <br /> The primary data in this study is obtained from the internal perception of DMLZ <br /> <br /> underground PT Freeport Indonesia mine employees located in Papua tembagapura. Data <br /> <br /> were collected by sending a questionnaire to all DMLZ underground mine employees. <br /> <br /> i <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The questionnaires were submitted as many as 30 for initial validation and 127 for the <br /> <br /> minimum sample data to be taken. The statistical method used to test each hypothesis is <br /> <br /> regression analysis. <br /> <br /> The results of this study indicate that all hypotheses built are acceptable. This shows that <br /> <br /> organizational culture and competence positively and significance influence on the <br /> <br /> performance of DMLZ Underground mine employees. <br />
