| Summary: | Cryptocarya denstfLora B1. is a species of plants which belongs to the familly Lauraceae. Study on alkaloid constituents of this plants has not yet been reported. The tree bark of Cryptocarya denstfLora B1. was extracted with methanol at room temperature. The fenolic fraction of the alkaloid extract yielded two compounds, namely a white crystalline, m.p. 120,5-122°C, as an yellow solid, m.p. 79-81°C. Based on the UV, 1H NMR, i3C NMR and mass spectra data, both compounds have been identified as N-methyl-1,9-dihidroxy-2,10-dimethoxyaporphine or isoboldine, and 1-reticuline. The non-alkaloid fraction also yielded a crystalline compound, m.p. 220-221°C, and structure elucidation of this compound is being continued. |
