The potential of this animation industry can also become opportunity to <br /> <br /> Indonesia as a developing country. Indonesia, which has a large population and has a variety of <br /> <br /> cultures is very potential to develop animation industry. Of course, this potential must be <br /> <br /> utilized by the animation industry players in Indonesia. One of the major problem in Indonesia <br /> <br /> animation industry is the lack of information within actors which caused the business model is <br /> <br /> lacking this industry. The problem that occurred also how actors in this network using rigid <br /> <br /> system for the collaboration. The rigid system in collaboration will hamper the idea and <br /> <br /> innovation itself. These problems can be solved by changing how the network involved into <br /> <br /> business model and business model innovation so the collaboration can generate more values <br /> <br /> for actors in animation industry. <br /> <br /> Therefore, this research is conducted to give recommendations in the business model to the <br /> <br /> actors/firm and analyze the network characteristic, business model, business model innovation, <br /> <br /> and value outcome in animation industry network. Conceptual model used in this research is <br /> <br /> using four dimensions, which are; network, business model, business model innovation, and <br /> <br /> value. This research is done by qualitative method by applying interview, observation, and <br /> <br /> secondary data. Three types of network are used as a case study, which are; vertical value net, <br /> <br /> horizontal value net, and multidimensional value net with case study of Trans TV (vertical value <br /> <br /> net), Cimahi Creative Association (horizontal value net), and Elex Media (multidimensional <br /> <br /> value net). The data is being compared with each network using cross-case analysis method <br /> <br /> using table. <br /> <br /> In this research, Trans TV as vertical network and Elex Media as multidimensional network are <br /> <br /> using the same agreement control in the network and business model so the business model <br /> <br /> innovation is determined mostly by focal firm. As horizontal network, CCA has less control in <br /> <br /> their network, their business model innovation determined by focal actors and initiative <br /> <br /> members that affect the business model innovation more appropriate to all members. The result <br /> <br /> of this research shown that the network condition, business model, and business model <br /> <br /> innovation affected the value outcome.
