For callus formation, explant were planted on Murashige and Skoog\'s medium. Addition of various combi - nations and concentrations of growth regulators 2,4-di - chlorophenoxy acetic acid (2,4-D) and kinetin were necessary for callus induction. The callus formed was maintained in Gamborg liquid medium with 2,4-D. The results obtained showed the media were suitable for the formation of embryogenic cells which subsequently developed into globular-shaped, heart-shaped, torpedo-shaped and cotyledon-shaped embryos. The embryos developed into complete plantlets with stems, little green colored leaves and primary roots on Gamborg agar medium with the addition of 0,5% sucrose and 2,4-D. text
