Description
Summary:Dump truck that is used to distribute mining products from the site to the the material processing location is one of the important heavy transport for the companies. The unavailibility of a dump truck may cause the company to suffer financial loss for about US $ 1 million per day (Jack and Murthy, 2007). Therefore it is necessary to create a maintenance system in order to minimize the failure rate of the dump truck. One of them is to perform maintenance service contracts. In this research, the contract services performed is minimal repairs of Corrective Maintenance (CM) and reduction of the failure rate of imperfect Preventive Maintenance (PM). There are 2 options of service contract offered, the first one is the agent bear the full cost of PM and CM and the agent only bear the CM as the second one. By using the Accelerated Failure Time and Markov Chain model developed by Husniah, H., et al 2015), an evaluation of the service contract cost by determining the maintenance time period and the optimal cost on vehicles in dynamic conditions. Based on the data used, Option 1 give better result with a Rp.30.343.000 profit for one-year service contract with the amount of PM is 3 and the 103 days of interval between PM.
