Summary: | ABSTRACT

Traffic congestion and pollution is an unsolved old issue in every major city. Indonesia

government through NCSTT(National Center of Sustainable Technology

Transportation) wants to implement sustainable transportation in Indonesia. Electric

Vehicle is one of the projects. The project will be conducted in Bandung City with the

focus on developing the electric vehicle from ITB Ganeca to ITB Jatinangor. Electric

vehicle expected to reduce the traffic congestion and also reduce the pollution to be the

back bone of public transportation especially in Bandung. This project hopefully will

increase the awareness of using public transportation with the implementation of BTOD

(Bus Rapid Transit-Oriented Development). The responses are gathered from

respondent in Bandung city and surrounding area through an online questionnaire using

Google Forms. From data collection (233 respondents), the study will use the general

linear model to know the decision of passenger in using electric vehicle by comparing

the means of passenger attributes (age, salary, intention, and education) to the decision

of using the electric vehicle. Other analysis will use one-way ANOVA to compare the

means of three passenger attributes (age, salary, and education) to preference factor

(area preference and criteria preference). The result from one-way ANOVA used to

create electric vehicle route that can accommodate passenger from the different age,

salary, or education and as consideration in planning and design the station design.

Hopefully, this study can contribute to Indonesia government in implementing

sustainable transportation and as a reference for Bandung government and stakeholder

in developing the infrastructure and commercialization area of the electric vehicle.
