Plumbing system is an inseparable part in building construction. The design should be done well in order to avoid leaks that can cause pollution of clean water sources. The design of plumbing system of Bandung Maternity Hospital consists of water supply system, sewerage and venting system, fire prevention system and rain water drainage. The initial design of the plumbing system included the determination of pipelines for the entire system, floor plans, and schemes. Then proceed with determining the need for clean water and fire prevention, the type and dimensions of pipes in each system, reservoir requirements, pump requirements, detailed drawings and isometry, as well as the planned overall cost plan plumbing system. The building's clean water comes from local water company (PDAM) and is distributed to all plumbing equipment using pumps. Sewerage system of waste water produced by this building is planned separately (waste water, dirty water, and hazardous and toxic waste) by gravity using PVC pipe. Greywater is processed using grease trap and filter, blackwater is processed using septic tank. The resulting effluent is channeled into the urban sewer channel. Hazardous and toxic waste is collected in a separate tank to be transported and processed separately. Rainwater runoff is collected using roof gutters and vertical gutters.
