In this study testing the effect of the use of KNO3 0.5% combined with warm water immersion at a temperature of 400C and then 600C temperature warm water immersion to the long axis of the embryo parameters palm seeds of early maturing varieties. The study design used was completely randomized design (CRD) in which the observational group consisting of seeds of palm varieties of early maturing the first scarified using

sandpaper on the operkolum (P0), the seeds of palm varieties of early maturing scarified using sandpaper on the operkolum + immersion compound KNO3 0,5% for 24 hours + soaking warm water at a temperature of 400C for 10 minutes (P1), and the needs of palm varieties of early maturing in scarification using sandpaper on the

operkolum + immersion warm water at a temperature of 600C for 10 minutes (P2) which is repeated 6 time. The results showed that on the second day of observation,

treatment P1 produces long-axis growth of embryos was significantly higher (0.29 cm) compared to treatment P2 (0.18 cm), and P0 (0.17 cm) (One way Anova, P <0.01). text
