Summary:Certification Services is a public service provided by Balai Besar Keramik to industry for product standardization or quality management standards used by companies to comply with national standards. This service consists of several steps that are related to each other. To improve the provision of services it will develop an information system in accordance with certification services. In modeling the use of technology for certification services, the model that fits into this service is the Technology-Facilitated Service Encounter model where in the provision of services provided in addition to utilizing technology to interact with the recipients, but direct interaction is also required on some of the steps contained in the service. In relation to certification services, there are several steps that customers must interact directly with Balai Besar Keramik for the sustainability of the certification process. As for the type of application used in the develop of this information system prototype, selected web-based applications because this type of application has advantages can be accessed from any platform that is suitable for certification services that are intended for the general public. And in this research the framework used is codeigniter using source development model using MVC model (model-viewcontrol). The prototype of the information system that has been developed has been considered sufficient in answering the functional requirements of the system. However, in the case of non-functional aspects such as security and system performance should be improved again. And need special research in order to produce maximum results.
