The problem rose from interviews with <br /> <br /> Indonesian game developers that through many reasons, Indonesian developers made <br /> <br /> games not knowing its market. By doing an exploratory research about Indonesian <br /> <br /> gamers’ behavior, this research is intended to help game developers to create games <br /> <br /> with more market knowledge. In this research, semi-structured interview was used for <br /> <br /> the data collection. While open, axial, and selective codings used for the data analysis, <br /> <br /> with the verifications of the data by using triangulation. From this research, an overview <br /> <br /> of Indonesian gamers’ customer behavior emerged where there are some major factors <br /> <br /> of how Indonesian gamer’s customer knowledge for games spread through friend <br /> <br /> influences, games’ storyline and gameplay which is the most considered factors when <br /> <br /> Indonesian gamers want to choose a game, or major motives of virtual goods purchases <br /> <br /> which are either for appearance inside the game or to enhance the characters’ <br /> <br /> competitiveness. text
