Zr-Curcumin Synthesis as Lewis Acid Catalyst for Acetalization of Benzaldehyde
Zr-curcumin is a Lewis acid catalyst, which is a group of Zr-diketonates. The complex was synthesized through reaction of zirconium tetrachloride with curcumin [(E,E)-1,7-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-1,6-heptadiene-3,5-one] of 1:3 molar ratio in ethanol at 85 °C for 14 h.
