However, along with the number of passengers and goods traveling using the transportation service was also an impact on the high number of traffic accidents in Indonesia. According to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) said that in 2014 recorded 95.5 thousand cases of traffic accidents. In 2015 increased 3.19 percent to 98.9 thousand cases, as well as in 2016 rose to 105.3 thousand cases. The number of traffic accidents in the last 10 years has fluctuated. This is one of them caused by awareness of risk management in transportation service company because it can not manage it well. <br /> <br /> <br /> Management risk awareness in various companies, including those who engage in transportation field, is still considered lacking. Lacks in management awareness can be seen from how little the implementation mean to prevent any loss in financial or non-financial form from business risks encountered. <br /> <br /> <br /> Hence in this undergraduate thesis, process of constructing risk management based on ISO 31000 is proposed to evaluate risks in companies or organizations. ISO 31000:2009 is used as a standard or practical guide for organizations to develop risk management which can be adjusted with organization’s internal condition. The process of risk management is composed of three main process, that is: defining context, risk evaluation and risk handling. Those three processes are accompanied by another process: communication and consultation; and monitoring and review. <br /> <br /> <br /> The first process that should be done to evaluate the risks is identifying risk which results in four risk categories, which are Human Resource Risk, Transportation Company’s Business Process Risk, Transportation Technology Risk, and External Risk. Data extraction process is conducted by questioner and interview. Based on the data from questioner and interview, risk rating is constructed by using matrix which contains frequencies and impacts (Risk = Impact x Frequency). The aforementioned matrix is then divided into four quadrants based on the eminency rating or priority of risk handling so that any risk that needs more concern can be noted. The matrix contains: acceptable, supplementary issue, issue, or unacceptable. Based on questioner and interview results, priorities of risk handling are: acceptable which amount to 35 risk events, supplementary issue which amount to 5 risk events, issue which amount to 3 risk events and 0 risk event that is unacceptable. Recommendation for risk handling is done only to risk which categorized to supplementary issue priority and issue priority. text |
