However, there are many problems in street lighting in Indonesia, such as there are many street-lights damaged, bill system in street lighting uses <br /> <br /> <br /> at price, lack of personnel in charge, and the absence of good management data in relevant office about the total of street lighting point and its power. One possible solution is to implement smart systems street lighting with mesh network-based that has been known the reliability in Europe and can serve us as the infrastructure of Smart City. This study discussed the development of infrastructure mesh networks that can be used as street-light controller. The test for Mesh characteristic includes measuring RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator), measuring ping between hops, and testing street-light controlling program by sending its status data to the server. In the result, mesh network that formed have a pretty good performance with signal coverage up to 30m indoor and up to 40m outdoor, time for ping less than 50 ms for every hop. In addition, the prototype control of street-lighting that have been made also able to send and receive commands from the server associated with the management of street lighting. text |
