One of the railway lines to be built is the XYZ tunnel railway in Central Java Province. This tunneling uses New Austrian Tunneling Method, it is built from two sides the inlet side and the outlet side. To support the tunnel development cycle activities, a ventilation system is needed to provide fresh air for workers in the tunnel with good quality and quantity to create safe and comfortable working conditions for workers. The three main functions of underground ventilation planning are Quality Control, Quantity Control, and Temperature - Humidity Control. The rules used in designing a tunnel ventilation system is KepMen PE No. 555.K / 26 / MPE / 1995. Air discharge requirements are based on the number of workers and the number of appliances operating on the inlet side that is 18.73 m3 / sec while the outlet side is 21.95 m3 / sec. The content of oxygen gas and carbon monoxide gas on the inlet and outlet side are still in accordance with the applicable regulations, but there is no special handling in dust during the installation of shotcrete so it is advisable to use water curtain. The relative humidity and effective temperature on the inlet side is 91% and 34 °C, while on the outlet side has an average of 85.4%. and 31.5 °C. This condition is also not in accordance with existing regulations. In addition, effective temperature conditions within the tunnel will also affect the efficiency of the workers, thereby minimizing work efficiency at the inlet work area by 45% while on the outlet side 66%. The results of simulations on the ventsim software provide recommendations for the inlet side and outlet side using Korfman AL 12-450 auxiliary fan with 45 kW power and fan diameter 1200 mm. <br /> text
