It’s because the company's current vision, which is to become the number one marketplace in Indonesia, cannot yet be achieved. In addition, the growth of e-commerce in Indonesia can’t show the maximum contribution to Indonesia's economic growth, because many startups, especially e-commerce, have not maximized their company's capabilities. To improve the process of innovation, can be done by applying knowledge management in the company, and the needs of the company's knowledge management will be different in each stage of organizational growth. For this reason, this study purpose to design knowledge management strategies that is appropriate with the current stage of organizational growth. <br /> <br /> This research was done by using the historical case study method to identify the stage of organizational growth from the establishment of the organization. The process is start with identifying the stage of organizational growth, then continues to identification the needs of appropriate business processes. For each business process, then determined this characteristic based on the level of interaction and type of task. After that, identifying the needs and sources of knowledge to conduct the business processes. Data collection was obtained by conducting in-depth interviews with several persons who were following the history of the company's development and with people who understood the focus of business process in this research. In addition, data collection is also obtained by study of related documents. The final stage is designing knowledge management strategy based on the characteristics of the business processes that have been identified. <br /> <br /> The results of this study show that to applying of knowledge management strategy, companies should to consider the current stage of organizational growth, because the knowledge management strategy that must be applied will be different at each stage of the organization's growth. PT. X which is the object of the company in this study shows that the company is currently in the formalization stage, which is characterized by the formation of the organizational structure of the company's matrix and products which are increasingly widespread in different types. This is shows that the knowledge management strategy that is suitable to be implemented in the company is to focus on the company system, because there have been many activities or corporate programs will be held. text |
