Description
Summary:Comet C/2013 US10 Catalina would be in perihelion on November 2015 at distance 0.8 au to the Sun. These comet has 6 magnitude at perihelion. Another comet, C/2013 X1 PanSTARRS would be on perihelion in April 2016 with distance 1.3 au to the Sun and has 7 magnitude. These two comets come from Oort Cloud and discovered in 2013 with Catalina and PanSTARRS sky survey telescope.

In this Project discuss about spectroscopic observation result from comet C/2013 US10 Catalina and comet C/2013 X1 PanSTARRS. These observations obtained at Bosscha Observatory on 25 December 2015 to 6 January 2016 for Comet Catalina and from 9 Juni 2016 until 19 Juni 2016 using Celestron C-11 telescope, NEO R-1000 spectrograph, and SBIG ST-8 XME detector on optical spectrum.

The spectra show emission lines of C2 and NH2 molecules from coma comet. The C3 molecule only visible on comet PanSTARRS data. From the obtained spectra, the color of these comets appear bluish green because of C2 molecule. There is a change in relative abundance NH2/[OI] at a distance 1 au from sun on comet Catalina, while the outflow velocity from the gas molecule on coma reach 235 km/s.
