Summary: | Black rice is one of the local cultivars that contain high antioxidants, fiber,

vitamin E and are good for the health of the human body. However, the

productivity of black rice is still very low with a long harvest age (4-5 months)

and a small amount of quality seeds. One way of developing black rice in order to

increase its growth and productivity is through the provision of growth hormones

such as auxin (NAA) with the SRI method in the cultivation process. The purpose

of this study is to determine the effect of NAA concentration differences on the

growth and yield of black rice var. Cempo Ireng and determine the concentration

of NAA hormone to increase growth and yield of black rice var. Cempo Ireng

using SRI method. The study was conducted using a Randomized Block Design

(RCBD) consisting of 4 treatments and 7 repetitions. The treatments consisted of

4 concentration levels, namely concentrations of 0 ppm (A), 20 ppm (B), 40 ppm

(C), and 60 ppm (D). The results of the study shows that it is not significantly

affected by each treatment both on the parameters of growth and yield of plants.

However, the treatment concentrations that capable of giving the best results are

concentration of 20 ppm and 40 ppm. Growth parameters include: plant height,

number of tillers, and panicle number at concentration of 20 ppm is given 75.81

cm, 43 tillers, and 24.71 panicles. Whereas for crop yield parameters (harvest

index and productivity) the average values in sequantially are 46.67% and 5.055

tons / ha / year. The best crop yield parameters for 1000 grains and filled panicles

per panicle were obtained at a concentration of 40 ppm respectively are 27.96

grams and 139.05 filled grains. |
