This big number of reservoirs promotes the implementation of <br /> <br /> monobore/dual-bore completion in the recent years. X Field currently has hundreds of wells both with <br /> <br /> conventional completion and monobore/dual-bore completion. Since X Field is a major gas producer, the most <br /> <br /> widely used artificial lift method is gas lift. Permanent Coiled Tubing Gas Lift (PCTGL), which is a <br /> <br /> breakthrough in VICO Indonesia since 2010, where the gas is injected through the coiled tubing and the oil is <br /> <br /> produced through the annulus between the tubing and the coiled tubing, has been applied in monobore/dualbore <br /> <br /> completed wells because this type of completion cannot accommodate the gas lift mandrels. Conventional <br /> <br /> Gas Lift (CGL) that uses gas lift mandrels and unloader valves has also been applied to older wells with <br /> <br /> conventional completion. Both of these gas lift methods have their own advantages and disadvantages such as: <br /> <br /> CGL installation is more expensive than PCTGL, PCTGL is limited to a certain depth of injection whereas CGL <br /> <br /> is not, and the flow area in the tubing in PCTGL installed well is smaller than CGL. A thorough evaluation of <br /> <br /> oil well performance using PCTGL and CGL has not been conducted in X Field.
