The fracturing is done by giving pressure to the formation from the fluid fulfilling the well. Then, proppant is flowed into the formation to keep the shape of fracture. The final step is flushing to assure the proppant have fulfilled the fracture properly. This hydraulic fracturing can be applied in the geothermal well which has different properties with hydrocarbon well. <br /> <br /> This study will discuss about the selection of fracturing material, especially the treatment fluids and proppant. Some type of treatment fluids and proppants will be chosen to be tested. Then, the simulation will be run using the materials selected in a geothermal well by using FracCADE 5.1. Furthermore, the dimension of fracture will be determined by using PKN & KGD model. text |
