The website is one of the sources of information that is the spearhead for the Dissemination of information by various institutions, including the University website. Websites in mobile platforms can be developed without limiting the convenience of users in accessing information. Higher Education websites in a reliable mobile platform can increase the reach of information, because access by users is not limited to space and time. Website quality can be seen from usability and user experience. This research was conducted to evaluate the university website interface in a mobile platform using task-based usability experiments using smartphones with information retrieval of study programs, new student admissions, research, lecturers, and scholarships. The experiment continued with user experience assessment using the User Experience Questionaire (UEQ). Data processing and testing is done to analyze the influence between usability and user experience to be combined with observation data to produce research recommendations. The results of the research showed that usability improvement, which was marked by reduced time needed and errors that <br />

occurred, had an effect on improving aspects of user experience, the increase was significant in aspect s of efficiency, dependability , and stimulation. Time and error are influenced by the lack of layout and navigation elements. Therefore, it can be concluded that time and error can be reduced by improvements to the layout and navigation elements, sothat it can improve usability which will affect the increasein user experience. The recommendations of the research results are focused on these two things as a basis for the development of Higher Education websites in the future mobile platform.<p align="justify"> <br />
