Studying how employment generation has job satisfaction should be seen from the <br /> <br /> behavior, background, and attention to the factors that affect the job satisfaction of each generation. <br /> <br /> Knowing there is a difference in the factors that lie behind one generation of work satisfaction, <br /> <br /> researchers are eager to learn how these factors differ in influencing employee satisfaction at work. <br /> <br /> PT PP (Persero) was established on behalf of NV Housing Development on August 26, 1953. The <br /> <br /> company's main objective is to become the largest and most sustainable construction and investment <br /> <br /> company in Southeast Asia. Currently, PT PP already has seven subsidiaries spread all over Indonesia. <br /> <br /> Until 2018, PT PP has 2126 employees consisting of 1565 project employees and 561 office employees. <br /> <br /> For employees of their own offices, 61% of PT PP employees are generation X and 39% are Y <br /> <br /> generation. Under these circumstances, PT PP must understand the differences of each generation to <br /> <br /> maintain their loyalty and work performance. <br /> <br /> The objective of this study is to find out what factors affect employee work satisfaction and what factors <br /> <br /> are the most dominant drivers of each generation of work. Focusing on Generation X and Generation <br /> <br /> Y as the most dominant generation in a company, this research will measure the level of employee work <br /> <br /> satisfaction in PT PP in Jakarta, also to answer the question of what factors most influence each of these <br /> <br /> generations to have job satisfaction and effort achieve company goals. <br /> <br /> This research is supported by the theory of Herzberg Two Factors Theory and Job Characteristic Model <br /> <br /> chosen to assist the researcher in conducting the analysis of this research data. Using quantitative <br /> <br /> methods, the researcher observed to determine employee interpretation of the organization's core <br /> <br /> behavior and understanding of the work environment, and distributed questionnaires to employees at <br /> <br /> PT PP Jakarta to assess the level of job satisfaction indicator. <br /> <br /> The expected result of this study is the improvement of job satisfaction system for the creation of an <br /> <br /> organization that accommodates the different needs of each generation.
