Summary:The coal mining industry operates starting from stripping the ground cover to obtaining a coal deposit or called ROM (run of mine) sending it ROM to the port using a fleet of truckloads to the port stockpile to be further processed by crusher to get the product or called a cargo of size according to customer request. Cargo is then transferred to the vessel by conveyor belt, the use of crusher and belt conveyor as a system is called fix material handling system or in the company better known as material handling system (MHS). <br /> <br /> Problems often encountered during coal transport operations is the presence of interference in MHS in the form of availaibility and low performance caused by inefficient maintenance system. To minimize the operational disruption, it is necessary to analyze the proper maintenance system in order to optimally perform the operational productivity. <br /> <br /> Development of simulation using system dynamics in MHS maintenance system helps in analyzing maintenance system so that it can apply optimum maintenance policy towards MHS. This study aims to explain the effect of corrective maintenance (CM) action changes on the repair rate, preventive maintenance (PM) action on the failure rate that affects the availability and project improvement (PI) to performance, thus increasing the OEE. The performance of OEE as an indicator of MHS maintenance policy system success will affect the income modeled as net value. The highest net value is obtained with a value of $ 49.09 / ton of coal in 2027.
