On the other hand, the expressing acts can cause either physical or esthetic damage for a targetted place. The use of virtual media such as social media, is one of the efforts in decreasing the impact of the environmental damage which is recently being popular. However, the users’ direct experiences on using social media are still different from the use of graffiti as the communnication means. <br />

One of technologies that can provides direct interaction sensation towards virtual object is augmented reality (AR). Therefore, the purpose of this final assignment is to make a software prototype that can be a new alternative in expressing emotion as social media giving experience in direct interaction with virtual object. This software is a location-based social media with AR technology. <br />
<br />
The research result for this final assignment shows that location based social media with AR Technology is able to be friendly environment alternative in expressing emotion towards a place. The basic needs of software derived from the potentials and obstacles from prior mobile AR software; they are: rich content, avoiding spamming, and seamless. The use of AR by means of location and markerless based location methods proves that it can improve seamless aspect. However, this software still needs some improvements, such as more representative interface and more interactive to AR objects.<p align="justify"> |
