The existing design process are not consistent among projects due to not-systematic design method and over-dependency on designer experience and expertise. Hence, systematic site storage facility design and site storage facility layout design method is needed to improve design consistency among projects in PT X. <br /> <br /> Currently, specific site storage facility and site storage layout design model for construction project is not exist. To obtain specific and systematic design method for construction project, development of a more general design model is needed. Hence, SLP which is proposed by Muther and Hales (2015) is used as the main reference for method development. SLP are developed as the followings: 1) development and integration of warehouse design model by Hassan (2002), 2) periodic design within SLP, 3) application of temporary storage buildings and, 4) specific design process per type of facility. <br /> <br /> The proposed design method is composed of four main design phases as follows: 1) design of storage requirement, 2) design of storage facility, 3) design of material layout and, 4) design of storage facility layout. Case study is then conducted in accordance to proposed design method, from which it could be concluded that the proposed design method is systematic, more comprehensive, and saves around 80% of existing site area usage. text
