The role of tri-axial load cell is considered very important in measurement, so that the manufacturing of tri-axial load cell is necessary to be the final project topic. <br /> <br /> Making load cell begins with designing process. Load cell design refers to series YGX 952. After that, loading simulation is performed on ANSYS software to determine the material that is able to withstand the maximum stress that appears without being deformed. Afterwards, materials and components are purchased then followed by manufacturing. Thereafter, load cell testing is carried out with real loading using Tensilon machine. The test results are then processed and analysed in order to be read correctly according to the value and direction of the load. <br /> <br /> The test results show that load cell is able to measure force in each axis with small error. Those making process of tri-axial load cell is expected to be a reference in the production of affordable load cells as a component of the force plates. text |
