Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Dago Pakar is one of the water treatment plant owned by PDAM Tirtawening which serve the North Bandung area with a production capacity of 600 liters/sec. Along with the increasing number of residents in North Bandung in general, the demand of drinking water will also continue to increase. To meet these demand, evaluation and optimization of the performance of Dago Pakar water treatment plant (WTP) is needed included water demand, quantity and quality raw, production capacity and quality of water producton. Based on the results of evaluation of operational and design of IPA Dago Pakar has ever done by the author, found several problems. One of them is the age issues and the conditions of raw water not proper into WTP in the early planning stages with existing conditions today. Besides that, WTP Dago Pakar does not yet have a sludge treatment plant so the accumulation sludge is dumped without any processing back to the river. The result of the optimization, the production capacity will be increased to 700 l/s and the unit will be developed by addition of the prasedimentation unit, changing dimension of the coagulation waterfall and addition some pipe coagulant, addition height of slot in flocculation unit, , changing plat settlers become a tube settler in sedimentation tanks, selection diameter of filters media and construction of sludge drying bed for sludge treatment plant.
