Thus, there is a need for optimization in fingerprint identification. One of the possibility of optimizing fingerprint identification is through indexing. This paper proposes an optimization for fingerprint indexing, based on Minutia Cylinder Code representation, using GPU. Indexing performance optimization is done by using a parallel codes on the two steps of indexing, creating and searching. The program uses both CPU and GPU through NVIDIA CUDA. text
