Object detection is very important in an autonomous vehicle system because it effects the speed of vehicle, therefore has significant impact in safety factors. In the implementation, the sensors that will be used are LIDAR and Ultrasonic based sensors. LIDAR sensors will be implemented by SICK LMS-200, while ultrasonic sensors will be implemented by 3 HC-SR04 sensors. The processors which controlled the sensors are applied by PC and WeMOS D1 Mini microcontrollers. The result of the implementation almost fulfill the specifications required, with both sensors have detected objects in their respected range. The LIDAR sensors and the ultrasonic sensors achieved a minimum 97,97 % accuracy and 92,46%. All range data from LIDAR and ultrasonic sensors have been transmitted successfully to the RMQ server by Message Queue protocol,where they will be used as an input for the main process of the autonomous vehicle systems. <br /> <p align="justify"> text |
