Geological scientists have speculated that in the future plastic could be geologically transformed into rocks, even fossilized, thus becoming an age marker of the current time just like how prehistoric fossils are seen today. Author wanted to visually represent the scientists’ speculation in her artwork using medium close enough to the formation of rock: clay. Through mimetic method, author tries to recreate one of the phenomena that embodies the term Anthropocene. |
