The production of PFAD ranges from 4-5 percent of the CPO production. As the biggest palm oil manufacturer, such side product has to be utilized to increase the economic value. One of the products that can be produced from PFAD is vitamin E, that has a benefit in health and food industry. Thus, the research is aim to produce concentrate of vitamin E from PFAD by optimal extraction. <br /> <br /> The series methods of extraction of vitamin E from PFAD at this research is saponification, leaching, and distillation. Saponification is done by reacting fatty acids from PFAD and magnesium oxide. Leaching is done to extract unsaponifiable components on saponification by using ethanol solvent. Distillation is done to remove solvent that is used on leaching phase. Variations of the experiment is done on the extraction phase, which is the mass ratio of ethanol and Mg-PFAD soap (2:1, 3:1, 4:1) and extraction method (percolation, immersion at temperature 27°C and 68°C). The parameter that is tested in this research is recovery free fatty acid (FFA), level of unsaturated (Iodine Value) and recovery &#945;-tocotrienol. <br /> <br /> According to the research, recovery of &#945;-tocotrienol is retrieved from PFAD on percolation method is 2,02 %, immersion at temperature 27°C is 1,36% (for L:S = 2:1), 1,76% (for L:S = 3:1), 2,48% (for L:S = 4:1) and immersion at temparature 68°C is 0,39% (for L:S = 2:1), 1,35% (for L:S = 3:1), 1,30% (for L:S = 4:1). So, the higher mass ratio of ethanol on Mg-PFAD soap, the bigger recovery &#945;-tocotrienol and percolation method is the best extraction method of &#945;-tocotrienol. <p align="justify"> text
