Summary: | Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (AIESEC)

is an international youth organization which works in team unit. Team effectiveness became

important as AIESEC, including AIESEC Bandung, has the vision of “Peace and Fulfillment of

Humankind’s Potential” which means AIESEC aims to develop its members’ potentials. To be

effective in developing its member’s potential, the works they do should also be effective.

Hence, there is necessity to measure team effectiveness in AIESEC Bandung to identify every

team’s position in regards to the ideal expectation.

The team effectiveness model which is used as theoretical framework in this research is Project

Aristotle Model. Project Aristotle Model states that effective teams have five team dynamics:

Psychological safety, Dependability, Structure & clarity, Meaning, and Impact. Using this

model, measurement tool is developed. A measurement tool which consists of five constructs,

eleven variales, and seventeen indicators is identified. Then, indicators are broken down into

subindicators and question items. The total of question items in the questionnaire is forty five

items.

The five effective team dinamics will be developed to be measurement tool to measure team

culture in AIESEC Bandung. Measurement tool is built with theories and AIESEC experts’

validation to determine things will be measured by the tool. Validated measurement tool consists

of five constructs, eleven variables, and seventeen indicators. Indicators then translated into

subindicators and question items. The total of question items asked in the questionnaire is forty

five questions.

Designed forty five question items are tested for its reliability and validity in order to measure

the accuracy and applicability. With thirty respondent chosen by judgmental sampling, every

question items are declared to be reliable and valid. Questionnaire then spread online to the

population target. In data collection, the sampling technique used is convenience sampling. After

data collection, calculation of mean for every divisions’ construct is done and continued by

clustering. Clustering divides divisions into two clusters for every constructs to simplify the

treatment recommendation for every cluster.

After the research is done, the result shows that the divisions with best team effectiveness (in

order) are Talent Management, Finance & Governance, Brand Experience, iGCDP Adhoc, and

Human Resource from the total of thirteen divisions. To improve team effectiveness in other

divisions, recommendations are made for AIESEC Bandung. Furthermore, recommendation for

the best divisions also made to maintain their constructs score. |
