Summary:Fermented cassava peel product is given as suplemental feedstuff" for broiler. The goals of this research are to increase the protein content of cassava peel by fermentation, evaluate microorganisms population and diversity of "ragi tape" as inoculum, and measure the increase of broiler weight after fed by the supplement. This work has two major steps: solid-substrate fermentation in laboratory scale and evaluate the biological aspect of the broiler after fed by the supplement. The fey Inentation prosess involves the selection of "ragi" as inoculum, microbial content of "ragi", and protein content in the substrate before and after fermentation. Evaluation of biological aspect for the broiler include the weight measurement and protein digestibility of the feedstuff. Fermentation increase the protein content of supplement from 3,4085 % to 5,5314 % - 8,8809 % . Microbial total count of N "ragi tape" from traditional market is 1,6 x 10' CPU/g. There are four isolates of microbes found on "ragi" : 2 Rhizepus, 1 Saccharomyces and 1 Schizosaccharomyces. Broiler feedstuff added by fermented supplement give significant increase to the weight of the chicken. Fermentation also increase the protein digestibility of the supplement from 12,6181 % to 23,5501 % - 38,5160 %
