Fine particulate that has a size particle of less than 2.5 μm considered can cause serious health problems and death in humans. With characteristic topography and population growth, Bandung is considered to have the potential dangers of high air pollution so that the necessary efforts in monitoring the quality of air pollutant, particullary PM2.5 is very important. AirPhoton® instrument, which consists of Nephelometer and Filter Sampler, are introduced as a semi-automatic PM2.5 measurement instruments that have more advantage in less-filters used, able to reduce the chances of losing semivolatil parameters and reduces the bias in the measurement results. Measurements carried out on the roof of PAU Building ITB which is considered to represent the ambient air quality urban area of Bandung and proximity to Sunphotometer® Cimel instrument to determine the measurement cycle AirPhoton® instrument. For reference instrument, MiniVol sampler has been used to compare the result since it could provide measurement results that are similar to a standard instrument. Measurements were carried out for 14 days, using gravimetric analysis method from the filter to get the concentration of PM2.5 and compare the results from the two instruments. From preliminary data result, the comparison of both instruments showed that PM2.5 concentration measurements using instruments AirPhoton® are lower than MiniVol instrument (under estimate) with correlation equation: y = 0,37x + 10,87. Intermitten sampling were then conducted during the period August 2014 – February 2015 with duty cycle. The average yield on the measurement of the normal PM2.5 concentrations was 29.32 μg/m3. text
