Summary: | <p align="justify"> The working load of the runway, taxiway and apron is 15 kN/m2 and 14 kN/ m2 pavement load for runway and taxiway, while for apron is 11 kN/m2 . Other than that, the construction needs embankment to reach the required elevation +1.0 m. This construction will be built on a soil with very thick layers of clay. Clay soil tend to have a big consolidation degree coefficient. Therefore, improvement of soil is needed to fasten the time of consolidation. Analysis result shows that the most optimal method to mitigte the problem on this construction is prefabricated vertical drain, and preloading. <br />

The consolidation with soil in it’s natural state will be done by 91 years. So, the improvement of soil is necessery in this case. The improvement used here is preloading and prefabricated vertical drain. With the use of preloading, the load impacted on the soil will be bigger, therefore the consolidation rate needed can be done faster. This improvement is supported by the use of PVD that shorten the drainge way so the pore pressure will be dissipated faster. The The design obtained consist of 2.5 Meter of embankment and triangular pattern of PVD with 1 meter installation distance and 17 meter of PVD depth. <br />

Design of foundation based on soil condition in the area of structure represented with correlation of N-SPT. Axial Bearing capacity single pile calculated according to Meyerhoof calculation method. Lateral bearing capacity and group bearing capacity analyzed with L-PILE and GROUP PILE Software. The design obtained is 600 mm of diameter Spun Driving Pile with 29 m pile depth. Distance between the center to center pile is 1,8 m and used 4 type of pilecap. <p align="justify"> |
