The result of the analysis shows that the process of establishing BUMDes can influence cooperation in managing BUMDes, especially in terms of similarity in the direction of development. With regard to the relationship between the conditions of social capital in the institution and the performance of BUMDes, there are several factors affecting it. They include the initiative of the community in the formation of BUMDes, which must be followed by the agreement from all village members to gain the trust of the entire community, the need for equality between stakeholders, the selection of business units based on the problems experienced by the community, the leadership factor influencing the condition of social capital, and the human resources which understand business development in society. BUMDes is not only a social institution for community empowerment, but also an economic institution that functions to improve the state of village economy. <br />
