Summary: | Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic drug that’s used to treat various diseases such as headaches, back pain, arthritis, toothache and pain after surgery. However, if it consumed in excess it can cause liver damage and kidney disorders. In this research, carbón paste electrode modified with non-imprinted poly(glycine) and molecularly imprinted poly(glycine) (CPE-NIP-MIP) for voltammetric determination of paracetamol had been succesfuly developed. Electropolymerization was carried out using 5 cyclic with cyclic voltammetry techniques in the potential range of -0.5 V to 1.8 V and scan rate of 100 mV / s in a phosphate buffer solution of pH 7. To produce MIP, paracetamol was removed from polymer matrix by technique, amount of cyclic and range as same as electropolymerization process in a phosphate buffer solution of pH 7. The measurements of paracetamol was performed using diferential pulse voltammetry (DPV) in HCLO4 0,1 M solution as supporting electrolyte. Repeated measurement of paracetamol 0.1 mM resulted in RSD of 11.10 % (n = 40). CPE-NIP-MIP calibration curve provides a linear response in the concentration range of 20 μM - 100 μM with the limit of detection of 1.98 μM. Determination of paracetamol in 4 samples of commercial drugs resulted in percent recovery between 97.18% and 103,64%. Measurements using UV spectrophotometry show results that are not much different |
