Summary: | White oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) is one of the important agricultural commodities and is in great demand by the people of Indonesia. But the productivity of this fungus is still low, so there needs to be a inovation of technology in the cultivation process to increase its production. One important factor in cultivation that determines the production of mushroom fruit bodies is humidity and light intensity. In this study, the fungus production process was engineered through the optimization of these two factors using a humidifier device equipped with a microcontroller, DHT22 sensor, and setting the light intensity using LED lights. According to the literature, oyster mushrooms require ideal humidity conditions at 80-90% and 200-700 lux light intensity. This study used a factorial completely randomized design method with 2 factors - 3 treatment variations and 10 replications respectively. The first factor is humidity with 3 variations of humidity (80-85%, 85-90%, and 90-95%), and the second factor is light intensity with 3 variations of light intensity (300 lux, 500 lux, and 700 lux). From the two factors, 9 variations of combinations were obtained. The data were tested by ANOVA statistical test and continued with the duncan test at 95% confidence interval. The results showed that there were significant differences in moisture treatment that interacted with the light intensity factor on the production of wet weight, dry weight, stalk length, and the speed of appearance of the mushroom fruit body. Humidity 90-95% and light intensity 700 lux is the best treatment (significant) can produce wet weight of oyster mushroom 128,03 gram / baglog and humidity 85-90% and light intensity 500 lux is the best treatment (significant) can produce dry weight 11.32 grams (BER 2.2%) during the average harvest period of 1 month. The fastest combination of humidity and light intensity at the fruit body (pin head) is K3I3 (humidity 90-95% and intensity of 700 lux) for 9.78 days. The parameters of the number of fruit bodies and the diameter of the pileus are not significantly different. Treatment of K2I1 (humidity 85-90% and intensity of 300 lux) produced the most optimal stem length of 7.16 cm. |
